Bathroom and Home Renovations

Renovations fail on coordination

Very few renovations go wrong because someone could not do the work. They go wrong because the waterproofer came before the plumber, the tiler had nowhere to start and three weeks disappeared. We build the sequence first and hold the trades to it.

Bathroom renovations

Strip out, waterproofing, tiling, vanity and fixtures. Compliance on the waterproofing membrane and falls is where we do not cut corners.

Room reconfigurations

Removing or moving walls, opening up a kitchen and living area, converting an unused room into something you actually use.

Whole home renovations

Period homes brought up to standard without losing what makes them worth owning. Staged so you can live in part of the house where possible.

Structural carpentry

Wall framing, floor and roof structure, beams and lintels, done to plan with engineering where the span requires it.

How we keep a renovation on track

  • Scope agreed in writing before anything is demolished
  • A staged quote so you can see where the money goes
  • Trade sequence built and shared before we start
  • Waterproofing certified where wet areas are involved
  • Weekly update so you always know what happens next
  • Variations priced and approved by you before they proceed
  • Site left clean at the end of every day, not just the end of the job

FAQ

Bathroom and Home Renovations questions, answered

How long does a bathroom renovation take?

Most bathrooms run three to four weeks. Waterproofing needs curing time between coats and tiling cannot start before that. Anyone quoting you ten days is skipping something.

Do I need a building permit to renovate?

Structural work, removing load bearing walls, changing the footprint and most wet area work by a registered builder require permits or compliance certificates. Cosmetic work usually does not. We assess your scope and tell you which applies.

Can I live in the house during a renovation?

For a single bathroom or one room, usually yes. For a whole home renovation it depends on whether we can stage the work and keep a bathroom and kitchen live. We are upfront about this at the quote.

How do you handle unexpected problems?

Old houses hide things. Rot, asbestos, previous unpermitted work. When we find something, we stop, show you, price the fix and get your approval before continuing. You never get a surprise on the final invoice.

Do you provide a fixed price?

We provide a fixed written quote for the agreed scope. Variations you request, or genuine hidden conditions we uncover, are priced separately and approved by you first.
